These Terms and Conditions govern your use of the Age Concern New Zealand website (ageconcern.org.nz). By using this website, you agree to these terms. If you do not agree, please discontinue use of the website.
About Us
Age Concern New Zealand is a registered charity under the Charities Act 2005 (Charity number: #CC10939). Our registered office is at Sharp House, Level 1/79 Taranaki Street, Te Aro, Wellington 6011, NEW ZEALAND.
Use of This Website
This website is provided for informational and charitable purposes. You may use it for personal, non-commercial purposes only. You must not use this website in any way that is unlawful, harmful, or that infringes the rights of others.
We reserve the right to amend these terms at any time. Continued use of the website following any changes constitutes your acceptance of the updated terms. We recommend checking this page periodically.
Donations
Age Concern New Zealand accepts one-off and recurring online donations. By making a donation, you confirm that you are authorised to use the payment method provided and that the details you have submitted are accurate and complete.
How donations are used: Donations support the work of Age Concern New Zealand in promoting the wellbeing of older people. In accordance with our obligations under the Charities Act 2005, our financial statements are publicly available through Charities Services at charities.govt.nz.
Tax credits: Donations of $5 or more may be eligible for a tax credit under the Income Tax Act 2007. A receipt will be emailed to you following your donation. Please retain this for tax purposes. If you do not receive a receipt, contact us at national.office@ageconcern.org.nz.
Refunds: Donations are generally non-refundable. If a donation was made in error, please contact us at national.office@ageconcern.org.nz within 14 days and we will consider your request. Refunds are made at our discretion and are not guaranteed.
Recurring donations: You may cancel or update a recurring donation at any time by contacting us at national.office@ageconcern.org.nz or logging into your donor account. Cancellations will take effect before the next scheduled payment. Payments already processed cannot be refunded.
Payment processing: Donations are processed securely by Stripe. Age Concern New Zealand does not store your full card details.
Newsletters and Email Communications
Age Concern New Zealand publishes several newsletters including Appreciating Age, Senior Matters, and Senior Watch.
Signing up: By subscribing to a newsletter, you consent to receiving regular email communications from Age Concern New Zealand. We will only send you communications you have opted into.
How we use your information: Your email address and any other details you provide at signup will be used solely to send you the newsletter(s) you have subscribed to. We will not share your details with third parties for marketing purposes without your explicit consent.
Unsubscribing: You may unsubscribe from any newsletter at any time by clicking the unsubscribe link in any email we send you, or by contacting us at national.office@ageconcern.org.nz. In accordance with the Unsolicited Electronic Messages Act 2007, we will action all unsubscribe requests within five working days. After that period we will not send further marketing messages to your address.
Third-party providers: Our newsletters are sent via Mailchimp. By subscribing you acknowledge that your data will be processed by this provider in accordance with their privacy policy.
Privacy
We collect and handle personal information in accordance with the Privacy Act 2020 and its 13 Information Privacy Principles. We will only collect information that is necessary for the purpose it is collected for, and we will tell you how it will be used.
You have the right to request access to, or correction of, personal information we hold about you. To make a request, contact our Privacy Officer at communications@ageconcern.org.nz.
