Health Promotion Manager – 24 hours per week

Are you interested in making a difference for older people across New Zealand?
Are you an experienced service or programme manager looking to make a change?
We are looking for someone to join us at our National team in Wellington to lead and develop health promotion work in an Age Concern context. The role involves contributing to strategic planning on the future direction of health promotion; providing oversight of a national contract delivering health services to older people; supporting local Age Concerns to deliver health promotion activities to best practice and developing and maintaining awareness of the changing and diverse needs of older people and the implications for health promotion development and delivery.

You will have:

  • Proven experience in leadership in the health or social sector
  • Experience in managing contracts, accountability and impact reporting
  • A tertiary qualification e.g. health promotion, public health, social sciences
  • Awareness of the economic, political, social and cultural context of the relevant sectors with whom we engage.
  • Well-developed stakeholder engagement, relationship management and communication skills.
