Sarah Cullum has over 20 years of clinical and research experience in dementia. She trained as an old age psychiatrist in UK, where she also obtained a PhD in clinical epidemiology and health services research. Sarah will present data from the Counties Manukau memory service that helps us to understand the outcomes and economic costs of dementia in different ethnic groups.
Sarah moved to New Zealand in 2016 and since 2018 has been leading the Living with Dementia in Aotearoa (LiDiA) research group. LiDiA are currently updating the Alzheimers NZ Dementia Economic Impact Report for 2021, and also plan to conduct the first ever community-based NZ dementia prevalence study.
Sarah also loves skiing and qualified as a level 1 ski instructor in Queenstown last year.
