Yvonne Wilson believes kaumatua/older people are the best people to identify their housing needs and aspirations, and we can learn from their experiences - turning research into practice is achievable. Housing is a human right and everyone is entitled to warm, safe, quality affordable housing. Yvonne believes that as a country, New Zealand needs to collectively step it up. Government agencies have the opportunity to co-design solutions with the community housing sector, but this will take commitment and a louder call to action.
Yvonne is also a passionate mum of ten children, with thirty-two mokopuna and two mokopuna tuarua.
