The titles of my presentations are:
1. What’s known about older adult loneliness and social isolation in Aotearoa/New Zealand
This paper presents a systematic review of New Zealand research that has examined older people’s social isolation and/or loneliness
2. Late-life Chinese, Indian, and Korean immigrants’ loneliness in New Zealand
This paper presents an analysis of late-life Asian immigrants’ resettlement stories as they relate to loneliness and social isolation
Recent related experience:
Current postgraduate students’ research on how late-life Chinese immigrants’ loneliness can be ameliorated, neighbourhood age-friendliness for older Fijian Indian in South Auckland, and the usability of the Korean Activity Card Sort for older Korean immigrants in Auckland.
A co-design participant with the Innovate Change, Generations project to identify the main innovations to ameliorate older New Zealanders’ social isolation and loneliness
I am excited about the mix of people who will be at the conference, and the opportunity to hear and learn from others.
