Dalton Kelly 

Chief Executive of the New Zealand Rural General Practice Network 

Dalton Kelly was appointed Chief Executive of the New Zealand Rural General Practice Network in December 2014. The Network is the only nationwide membership based organisation to represent the specific interests of rural health. The Network is also the contracted provider to the Ministry of Health for national and international rural general practitioner recruitment and locum support.

Prior to joining the Network, Dalton was the Chief Executive of the Cancer Society of New Zealand for eight years. 

His other roles have been:
Chief Executive, New Zealand Chambers of Commerce, Chairperson, Wellington Business Development Board, President, Buy New Zealand Made Campaign Limited, Chair of Mary Potter Hospice and President of Hospice New Zealand.

 Dalton received a QSM in the 2006 Queen’s Birthday Honours, is a Life Member of Hospice New Zealand and in 2008 was made a Life Member of the Employers and Manufacturers
